LONDON, UK – After a hefty £12m renovation the Kensington Palace - the home of the British royal family and the future official London residence of Prince William and Kate Middleton - has been reopened to the public.

Kensington Palace is the red-brick block behind the heavy iron-work where all those flower-patterned tributes were piled up in 1997 to honor the late Lady Diana, Princess of Wales.
When Queen Elizabeth came to visit all this, she was enthralled , especially by a screen showing footage of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee parade through London in 1897. Her own, of course, is just weeks away.
