January 9, 2012: The 30th Birthday for Duchess of Cambridge
Her party-planning sister  has reportedly teamed up with Prince Harry to plan the event. Pippa and Harry have been organising a 'secretly arranged party' to be thrown in her honour this weekend. The pair have apparently decided on an 80's theme to pay tribute to the decade the Duchess was born in.

On the eve of her birthday, which is the January 9, Kate will attend the premiere of Stephen Spielberg's film War Horse with Prince William at Odeon Leicester Square. Following the film, the pair will attend a £10,000 ticket charity dinner.

After these two assignments the couple will be free for the birthday party which will be an exclusive event for only "close friends and family".

Instead of presents the Duchess has asked that guests give money to charity instead. However, it is unfolded that her husband plans to commission an oil painting of Kate. The Queen is said to be giving her new daughter-in-law a tiara from her collection.

A source told Grazia magazine: "It's going to be a party of clashes in every way.

"On the one hand there are all these exquisite trappings, and on the other, Pippa is planning to top off the party with a karaoke session."

They added: "Kate needs to enjoy herself while she can, though, so she can be forgiven for belting out a few Duran Duran and Madonna numbers on her birthday."
