Video and Photos: Royal Couple Visits Solomon Islands amid Kate's topless photos row

Kate Middleton - the Duchess of Cambridge was crowned as an Island Princess when she was presented with a headdress of fresh flowers during the visit of a village in Solomon Islands today.

Pacific warriors gave the glamorous royal couple a warm welcome on Sunday as they landed in the capital Honiara as part of their nine-day Southeast Asian and Pacific tour marking Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee.

 

Tens of thousands of islanders again turned out to watch the royal couple as they toured a cultural village on their second day in the Solomon Islands.

Prince William, second in line to the British throne, and her gorgiuos wife Catherine were visiting a cultural centre in South Pacific when the decorative headpiece made from exotic frangipani and bougainvillea was placed on her head unexpectedly.

 

Catherine, wearing a Jaeger's yellow shirt-dress and LK Bennet heels, charmed Honiara locals, while her more subdued husband stood at her side.

 

Royal couple continued their trip as scheduled despite a row raged in Europe regarding topless photos of the Duchess published in French and Irish magazines on last weekend.

 

Prince William's spokesperson told the Sunday Mirror newspaper that they would not let the photographs ruin their trip.

Apart from Kate Middleton’s pregnancy rumors; a source close to the royal family has disclosed that Prince Williams and Kate Middleton are looking to adopt a baby. 

OK! Magazine referring to the close royal source reported that an adoption is "something they (Kate Middleton and Prince Williams) have spoken about a lot." 

The age factor of Kate Middleton is also a major factor into their decision to adopt. "Kate's 30, so she realizes they need to get started," the source added further.

The idea of adoption has also been discussed with other members of the family including Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth; for which they have shown positivity, the source claimed.  

Prince Williams' father reportedly doesn't believe there is any reason why the newlywed royal couple can't do it. "He thinks it's a splendid idea," said an insider to OK! magazine.

MERIBEL, France (Tue, Mar. 27) – Just after a week of reunion; Kate Middleton and Prince Williams have joined the Middleton’s family members in Meribel in the Trois Vallees ski resort.

Kate Middleton’s parents Carole and Michael, along with her younger brother James Middleton, are currently in France on a skiing trip. 

The Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge have also joined them to have fun and relaxation after being away from each other for more than 6 weeks, when Prince William was stationed at Falklands islands for his official military duties.

A skier in the resort where the royal couple is staying said: 'They were sitting all together in an alpine restaurant half way up the mountain and looked very happy and relaxed.’

While Prince William was away, the Duchess carried out a number of public engagements alone, including two with The Queen and her first public speech.
